World of Tanks selected Terminal Loud Pictures for the launch of the new Italian tank branch in World of Tanks PC. The face of the campaign is the legendary Gianluigi Buffon, a former world-renowned football player and current sports executive, recognized as one of the greatest goalkeepers in football history. Buffon won the World Cup in 2006 and was the runner-up in the 2012 European Championship with the Italian national team.
In this commercial, Buffon takes on the role of a tank commander, lending his face and voice to become the ambassador of the new line of Italian tanks available with the latest World of Tanks update.
The one-day shoot took place in Turin, where Terminal handled the recruitment of the crew and the targeted search for locations. Special thanks go to the extraordinary Turin Film Commission, which collaborates with Terminal whenever locations, permits and support are needed.
Terminal Loud Pictures, along with the director and director of photography (DOP), ensured a visually captivating result, creating imagery that perfectly captures the dynamism and energy of the setting. The use of CGI and VFX effects allowed an impressive level of virtual realism, meticulously recreating the game’s environment.
In addition to Buffon’s participation, a body double was used for specific scenes. The collaboration between Terminal Loud Pictures, the director, and all the departments involved resulted in an exceptional outcome that seamlessly blended the world of the game with the charisma and fame of Gianluigi Buffon.
The final result was a high-quality production that not only promoted the new Italian branch in World of Tanks PC, but also captured the imagination of fans with a visually impactful and well-coordinated campaign.
